NAMASTE FROM MINI YOGINIS

ABOUT GENEVIEVE CYRS
As an Occupational Therapist, my passion is supporting physical well being and mental health for people of all ages. My experience rests primarily in work with young people whose hearts and minds are developing in unique and fascinating ways each day. My professional interests are based on several philosophies that also greatly influence and enrich my personal experience. Immediately drawn toward the mindfulness movement after reading about its benefits in 2011, I ultimately participated in a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course to gain professional and personal insight in 2014. I further expanded upon techniques introduced in MSBR by enrolling in a Cultivating Emotional Balance (CEB) course in 2017. Later that year, I built upon the foundation of a nearly decade-long yoga practice by training to become a certified Yoga Instructor at Purusha Yoga Studio in San Francisco. The foundation of my practice combines the strong physical elements of asana with a subtle inner emotional awareness. By integrating body, breath, movement, and mindful attention, I strive to promote a stronger sense of self grounded in personal health and wellness. My hope and goal is to share this with others.
